3228 - DB/2 – Non Prime

DB2 is one of IBM's relational database management systems (RDBMS). IBM refers to DB2 as a data server. Billable units are based on resource utilization per CPU Hour (CPU Hour is a calculation of units of processing time and is not related to wall clock time/hour).

Prime and Non-Prime Time

Prime Time is 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday (Holidays excluded) Non-Prime Time is 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Monday – Friday and Weekends and Holidays. Mainframe Rates include a Disaster Recovery Facility capable of providing Processing Services for all Mainframe Customer Applications.

ADOA-ISD Responsibilities

  • In the event of a disaster, restore the system using the most recent full volume backups that are available
  •  Performance monitoring and tuning of the DB/2 online environment
  •  DB/2 software installation, maintenance and upgrade
  •  DB/2 customization and configuration
  • DB2 System Security (By ADOA-ISD Security using CA Platinum)
  •  24x7x365 operations monitoring, operations support, and DB/2 technical support

CLIENT Responsibilities

  •  Application Disaster Recovery
  •  Data Base tuning
  • Data Base reorganizations
  •  Stored Procedure Changes
  •  Program Object Changes
  •  Program binds
  •  Report migration
  •  Object Changes (tables, etc.)
  •  Database Object migration (Development to Production)
  • Application Monitoring
  •  Application object planning/optimization
  •  Object Level Security
  •  DB2 Connect Installs
  •  DB2 Connect Connection setup
  •  DB2 Connect Troubleshooting
  •  SQL Assistance
  •  Data Update
  •  Data Migration (Production to Development)
  • All Data Base backup and recovery including but not limited to: Point in Time Backup and Point in Time Recovery
  • Provide ADOA-ISD with at least sixty calendar days notice of changes in CLIENT’s DB/2 processing that is expected to have a significant impact on processor utilization
  • Provide ADOA-ISD with CLIENT contact information during normal and outside of normal business hours
  •  Contact ADOA-ISD IT Support Services at 602-364-4444 for assistance or technical support in the use of or in the event of issues your environment
  •  Paying all fees associated with the use of service

JOINT Responsibilities

  •  No unsupported software will be retained on the ADOA-ISD mainframe
  • Schedule system upgrades in a timely manner to ensure the system software installed on the ADOA-ISD mainframe is always at a supported level
  •  Mutually maintain and abide by the Emergency Contingency Plan
