At the request of multiple agencies, ISD purchased a subscription email application and now offers the use of the application as a service. The eNewsletter Pro software allows agencies to manage their subscriber lists, email campaigns, and run statistical reports using a browser-based interface. Since the application is shared amongst agencies this allows ISD to offer the service at a significant savings when compared to other subscription marketing companies like constantcontact.com or icontact.com. ISD sets up an account for each agency which is separate from other agencies and secured by a password. ISD also codes the opt-in/opt-out pages to be integrated with the agency's website.
Governors Playbook Governors Playbook - Emergency Contact List

The Governors Office staff and emergency response personnel required an application allowing them to use Blackberry or Windows Mobile devices to view critical actions and up-to-date contact information. Agency Administrators enter critical information using a browser-based application which is downloaded via the web on to mobile devices. Administrators configure the timing of reminders sent to mobile users to update their devices and profiles. This ensures that the mobile user has access to critical information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition, there is an Address Book feature within the application which provides users access to the most up-to-date contact information and lets users send emails and PIN messages (Blackberry only) to other mobile users without exiting the application. A mobile device user never has to update contacts on the mobile device.
