Karl Eberhardt is responsible for the ADOA Data Center. This includes Data
Center Operations, Distributed Systems, External Support, IT Support Services,
Mainframe Support, Enterprise Storage and Capacity Management and Facilities
Management.
Karl began his career with the State of Arizona in November 1984 as a 2nd shift
Computer Operator.
Karl has been instrumental in the success of many state agency initiatives
including consolidation of the Arizona Department of Revenue’s data center and
the state of Hawaii’s Prepaid Medical Management Information System (HPMMIS) in
2000 and the Arizona Department of Transportation’s data center in 2001.
Karl has also been a key player in software and hardware contract negotiations
ensuring the Department of Administration and its customers receive top value,
pricing and service for product acquisitions, maintenance and support.
Over the past few years, Karl has worked diligently to support his CIO’s vision
and directives, which includes renovation of the data center, Server
Consolidation and Integration Facility Initiative (SCIFI) and the implementation
of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
Karl is a native of Arizona with more than 28 years of experience in the
Information Technology field. He also received the State of Arizona Project
Management Certification through the Government Information Technology Agency
(GITA) in December 2007.
