Hector Virgen is a certified security professional with extensive and diverse
experience in Information Security leadership at an enterprise level. His work
experience in the public sector includes 13 years as an Enterprise Service Desk
Manager for Maricopa County. He also worked in the private sector as an IT
Support Manager and in total, has more than 20 years of service management
experience. Hector is currently employed with the Arizona Department of
Administration (ADOA) as the ADOA Information Security Manager. He maintains
professional certifications including the State of Arizona Information Security
Professional, the State of Arizona Certified Project Manager, and the ITIL IT
Service Management Essentials.
Hector’s leadership model dictates that he defines the clear objectives which
create the momentum necessary for his team to achieve excellence. He aims to
instill core values and integrity, by leading by example, in order to build team
trust. He also motivates his team to be confident in their expanding knowledge
and skill-sets in order to tackle new responsibilities and challenges.
